Rochefort is located in Rochefort Trappist Abbey province of Namur, Belgium belonging to the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance. Inside the abbey is the brewery where Trappist beer Rochefort, which has been producing since the sixteenth century occurs.

Today, the abbey still live some monks who continue to participate in the preparation process alongside other employees, thanks to profits from the manufacture of beer, has been building, meeting a new reception and a remodeling of the old church.

Rochefort 10 came through the first beer with the help of Chimay, named Merveille. Beer brown ocher, high alcohol content which is obtained thanks to candi sugar.

The nose smoked perceived, ripe fruit, dried fruit and chocolate black in predominantly mouth so accentuated the presence of hops with notes of caramel, chocolate and ripe fruit.
