A collaboration with renowned pastry chef Jordi Roca from the three-Michelin-star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, this release brings the worlds of chocolate and whiskey to life. To create the first limited edition whiskey in a new series of annual releases, The Macallan Whiskey Maker Polly Logan embarked on a unique journey to Girona, Spain, where she immersed herself in the world of chocolate, exploring the chocolate making process and discovering the distinctive flavor profiles at Casa Cacao.
Polly worked with Jordi Roca, owner of the famous Casa Cacao chocolate boutique and hotel and the youngest of the acclaimed Roca brothers.
As part of the exploration, he also spent time with Casa Cacao's master chocolatier, Damien Allsop.

The Macallan Distillers
The Macallan Estate is located on the banks of the iconic River Spey in the Speyside region of Scotland. They were licensed to distil in 1824, although whisky may have been produced on the estate for much longer.
Founded by Alexander Reid, the distillery is situated on our 485 acre estate, with their historic Easter Elchies House at its centre. They are custodians of this beautiful land and its people.
From the wild Atlantic salmon swimming up the River Spey to the red squirrels and pheasants living in our woodlands, their commitment is to ensure that all wildlife, ecology and landscape flourish on the estate, supported by their own Habitat Management Plan.
