Abuelo Añejo rum is the jewel of the company Varela Hermanos S.A., the beginnings of this company date back to 1908, when a Spanish immigrant named José Varela Blanco founded the first sugar mill in Panama.
The best raw materials and the best continuous fermentation, distillation and aging processes that take place in American white oak barrels have been used to make this Panamanian aged rum.
Winner of several awards, this aged rum liqueur has a pale yellow color with a light texture that has a very well balanced aroma of toasted, caramelized and light wood notes that is very smooth and balanced in the mouth.
