Fettuccine (from the word fettuccia, which literally means 'stripe' in Italian) is a type of pasta, one of its main characteristics is that it is a flat noodle made of egg, water and flour. They are usually dried, although the best quality ones are usually fresh, handmade or sold fresh from a pasta machine. Fettuccine is also known as spaghetti. The difference between them is the width and thickness of the pasta.
