Peat's Beast, created in 2011, was not just the creation of one person, but the collaboration of many great minds within the exciting world of whiskey. Like any other great drink, it is the combination of ingredients that is the key to what makes the difference.
Distillery, listed as Independent Distillers is founded and managed by Eamonn Jones who was regional director of Whyte & Mackay, responsible for sales of Dalmore, Jura and other great brands.
Gerald Erdrich was their importer, distinguished in the business, crossing paths, these two great minds decided to come together and use their experience and ingredients to make a mark, a beast.
In collaboration with Los Angeles-based Brazilian artist Dough Alves, the iconic Beast was born. Now, it fell to greater minds to ensure that the Beast would deliver a blow. Igniting your senses with smoke and fire from the start, wild and fierce.
Industry legend Richard Paterson, aka The Nose, confirmed that the drink's attributes were never less than awe-inspiring. Eamonn Jones' business partner and industry colleague of 30 years, Aidan Smith, ensured quality was maintained at every step.
There we have it. A mix of great minds, great brains and great friends has created a fantastic single malt. Over the years a number of different whiskeys aged in different casks have been added to the Peats Beast family, along with the Standard 46% single malt whisky, unchilled, with no additives or colourings... the range now includes a whiskey aged for 9 months in Pedro Ximinez barrels.
