This Single Malt has been aged in one of the most interesting types of barrels in the whiskey world, namely the one and only rare Japanese oak, Quercus mongolica. This bottling won a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019, and was named two Japanese Single Malts of the Year in the 2020 edition of Jim Murray's "Whisky Bible."
