Hoegaarden Forbidden Fruit is a beer style Dark Ale brewed by Brouwerij Hoegaarden, a convent that has its origins in 1445 and where the monks themselves elaborated his beer, these monks are well known worldwide for they were the ones responsible for discovering the recipe soft wheat beer.
