Alfred Van Roy was commissioned to launch the Palm Dobbel, brewmaster who wanted to celebrate the bicentenary of the brewery creating a top-fermented beer with a character more pronounced malt and hops as the original Palm.

An amber beer with a frothy layer having a smooth creamy fruity aroma that demonstrates mouth softness and lightness very sweet which foreshadowed the presence of hops.

Dobbel Palm is part of the range of ales from the Palm brewery, now known as Palm Belgian Craft Brewers. A brewery by Arthur Van Roy could be rebuilt since the World War First was completely devastated. In 1929, Arthur gave name to the famous beer Steenhuffel, calling Special Palm, top-fermented beer that it was becoming more popular. Brouwerij Palm

Brouwerij palma tiene historia ya antigua, pero el nombre "Palm" data de 1929. Inicialmente llamada la cerveza de Palm especial, en referencia tanto al tipo de cerveza Speciale Belge y el otro a la palma fue el logotipo como un signo de la victoria de la cerveza de fermentación alta (La palma es de alta fermentación) en lager de baja fermentación.
