One of the abbey beer brands best known throughout Belgium, Leffe, presents its lesser-known beer, the Royale. Responsible for the production of this beer were the canons monks, a custom that many monks used to obtain benefits for the community, besides being was a measure to prevent various diseases.
Leffe Royale is made from three different types of hops where the Whitbread Golding, a type of hops combined with the other two offers a perfect balance between sweet and sour.
A beer blonde deep amber color with a layer abundant white foam, aroma blend the sweetness of flowers, fruit and cereal with notes of yeast and hops that give it a counterpoint in the mouth highlights the presence of malts caramelized with candy sugar and fruity notes having a dry finish and spicy.
