Description
After a few initial months of water scarcity, our vineyards located in the highlands of Rioja reached a balanced vegetative development thanks to the accumulated reserves. The end of the cycle was characterized by sunny days and cool nights, a temperature jump that benefited the maturation of the grapes until harvest.
We emphasize the magnificent color component, the important polyphenolic load and a outstanding health, resulting in very suitable wines for long aging. This vintage was officially rated 'Excellent'.
Deep cherry red color with an intense garnet rim. Intense and complex nose, dominating the aromas of fruit, blackberry jam, red raspberries and orange peel, which reveal spicy and balsamic notes of tobacco box, cedar, liquorice, clove, mentholated chocolate and toasted wood.
Fine and elegant on the palate, fresh and lively, with polished and silky tannins and a friendly and delicate finish. Very long aftertaste, with citrus and balsamic notes. Long and complex final sensation.
