Description

Ballantine's is the second largest Scotch whiskey in the world. Its heritage dates back to 1827, when founder George Ballantines opened his first store in Edinburgh. It is a whiskey distilled in Scotland, and has the most comprehensive range of quality blended and aged Scotch whiskeys. It is the first 17-year-old whiskey and the most awarded in the world. It arises from an impeccable blend of whiskeys aged 17 years and over, making it suitable for sharing with friends. It is created from a classic recipe that dates back more than 75 years and has hardly changed since then. The blend combines over 40 different malt whiskeys from the four major whiskey producing regions of Scotland: Speyside, Highlands, Islay and Loelands. Its maturation takes place in Bourbon barrels made by hand. This Scotch whiskey is characterized by a full and complex flavor, with a vibrant sweetness of honey and a creamy vanilla flavor with hints of oak and spicy licorice.
