Franziskaner Dunkel is a wheat beer produced by the brewery Franziskaner. Since 1379 has been producing this type of beers, but the image and the current name are of the twentieth century.

The name of this beer because the brewery was located near a convent of Franciscan monks, for this reason at first the brewery was called ""the brewery together the Franciscans"".

A beer tan with reddish highlights somewhat murky in nose dominates the aroma of bread freshly made with light fruity notes, it tastes a little bitter but perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the malt.
