Leith Docks located in Edinburgh were those who saw the birth of the Glayva liquor, in charge of such creation was Ronald Morrison, a wine merchant, and local whiskeys.

The idea came from Ronald wanted to create a liqueur to warm to customers in those cold winter times, for that Morrison mix exotic ingredients to which he had access, such as honey, spices or tangerines with malt Scotch whiskey.

Thanks to this mixture obtained a liquor pleasant and distinctive flavor whose name comes from the reaction of the first person to test it, since that day this liquor is still created in the same way as the first day.
