Terroir Sense Fronteres began as a quest to harness the unique minerality and soul of Montsant and give a liquid voice to the moderation and freshness of the clay hills that surround Priorat. Negre is a red dry coupage of the traditional varieties of the region Garnacha Negra (75%) and Cariñena (25%). The grapes are vinified for up to 10 days in whole clusters with wild yeast in stainless steel tanks before spending 8 additional months of aging, also in stainless steel. The Garnacha fruit shines with a wild beauty, elegance and extravagance untouched by any contact with the oak. The enticing aromas of crisp cherries and blackberries lead to a brilliance herbal yet ethereal that refuses to be pinpointed. Medium bodied, with silky red fruit flavors, deep spices and hints of licorice. A wine of ease and elegance in parts the same, robust and refined, and woven with a network of fine-grained tannins and a lingering mineral finish. An incredible homage to the fresh slopes of Montsant with body, structure and enough freshness to grace any Mediterranean meal .
