On January 12, 1980, the D.O. Rueda, the first denomination of origin of the community of Castilla y León.
This wine-growing area is located in the highest part of the northern plateau, in the middle of the Duero plateau, and extends through municipalities of the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila.
Its alluvial soils, rich in iron, have good drainage. Along with a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers. These characteristics are optimal for growing native white varieties such as Viura, Sauvignon Blanc and, especially, the Verdejo variety.
Clear and bright pale golden colour.
On the nose it stands out for its aromatic power, with varietal notes of fennel and green almond on a background of white flowers.
In the mouth it is silky, firm, with a fine and elegant acidity that gives it length in the mouth.
Perfect as an aperitif, it is ideal to accompany seafood and fresh fish as well as fried It goes very well with salads. It is recommended to serve between 8º-10ºC.
