A beer is a Trappist beer only if it is brewed within the walls of a Trappist abbey, under the responsibility of the monks. There are only a limited number of Trappist breweries in the world, two of which are located in the Netherlands. The monks brew the beer to support our sustenance and the maintenance of our domain.
