Description
Kujira 5 Years Old Single Grain 70cl is a blend of individual grains matured for 5 years in oak barrels and has benefited from the local climatic conditions of the winery, whose characteristics of heat and humidity have shaped the depth and complexity of the profile. It is distilled in traditional pot stills, matured in bourbon barrels and bottled in Japan.
Pioneer of a new type of whiskey, Kujira innovates in grain whiskeys by exploiting a grain hitherto not used for whiskey and more traditionally associated with other Japanese spirits.
Grain whiskeys made from rice, these whiskeys also called Ryukyu whiskeys after the name of the ancient kingdom of Okinawa, have their roots in the ancient know-how of Okinawan distilleries in the production of Awamori.
