Description
Togouchi whiskeys are specific in that they are only aged, blended and diluted in Japan and highlight the blending work for future productions from Sakurao Distillery. Whiskey casks imported from Scotland and Canada are aged in a unique location: a 361m-long tunnel dug in 1970 that offers ideal conditions for maturation (constant temperature of 14°C and humidity of 80%) . Part of its Japanese character is transmitted by the terroir through the spring water used for the reduction of the alcoholic volume that is extracted from the heart of the preserved mountains of the Sandankyo natural park.
