Description
Maison G.H. Martel was created in 1869 by the Tabourin family, owners of grape harvesters from Avenay Val d'Or, a small town located a few kilometers from Epernay.
Today, the G.H. Martel extends over a wide range of vineyards planted with Chardonnay and Pinots.
The company brings together three traditional pressing centers, 20,000 m2 of cellars and 55,000 hl of tanks, some of the most modern, in stainless steel with controlled temperature.
The personality of Champagne G.H. Martel draws on the know-how of the Rapeneau family established for four generations in the production of blond wine.
The cellar master and winemaker, Christophe, Bernard's youngest son, is now in charge of running the house. The eldest son, Jean-François, oversees the commercial development of the brand.
