PacoyLola is a winery founded in 2005 at the initiative of a group of viticulturists and wine producers from the O Salnés region, who decided to professionalize their production. This cooperative is called 'Sociedad Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana' and is currently made up of more than 430 members, being the most important cooperative by number of members of the D.O. Rías Baixas. The winery has 220 hectares of its own vineyard spread over more than 2000 plots, characteristic of the Galician smallholding and located entirely in the 'Val do Salnés' sub-area. The D.O. Rías Baixas extends through a set of areas of Galicia that have common agroclimatic conditions, which originate the characteristics of their wines. These are lowlands, with an altitude generally less than 300 meters, close to the sea and associated with the lower reaches of river courses. The D.O. Rías Baixas is divided into five different production sub-areas: Val do Salnés, O Rosal, Condado do Tea, Soutomaior and Ribeira do Ulla. PacoyLola belongs to the Val do Salnés subzone, the largest in area.
