Captain Morgan Rum Company
En 1944, la Seagram Company comenzó a producir ron bajo el nombre de Captain Morgan Rum Company.
El CEO de Seagram, Samuel Bronfman, compró una destilería llamada Long Pond del gobierno de Jamaica . Entre los compradores de ron crudo de la destilería Long Pond se encontraba una farmacia de Kingston llamada Levy Brothers. La familia Levy había estado comprando ron crudo, añadiendo hierbas medicinales y especias, envejeciendo y embotellando. A Bronfman le gustaba el ron y le compró los derechos.
