Glenmorangie is one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries and one of its smallest. Its production per year is not very large and the reserve stocks of whiskey are extremely limited.
In addition, from time to time, the Distillery Manager removes some selected barrels for extra aging. All barrels are made from white oak from the Ozark Mountains in Missouri. Those selected casks are chosen for their undefined qualities which, as you know, will produce a fine, aged Glenmorangie.
