The long-awaited ripeness of the grape burst forth, thriving with an unprecedented balance of high tones. The fruit firmed up with a remarkably intense aromatic linger and a compounded consistency that opened up an exciting range of possibilities. Casting aside the accepted Champagne canon and convention of reinterpretation, Dom Pérignon liberated the 2008 vintage with a bold blend created with pinot noir grapes from the "Chants de Linottes" plots in Hautvillers and the "Vauzelles" plots
