This is how the legend began... The warm and refined taste of DISARONNO dates back to one of the most romantic and creative periods in Italian history: the Renaissance. In 1525, the artist Bernardino Luini was commissioned to paint a fresco of Our Lady of Miracles in Saronno. To portray the Virgin, he chose a beautiful local hostess as a model. As a token of gratitude, the waitress prepared a special gift for the artist: a bottle filled with a delicate, aromatic amber liqueur. This is how the legend of DISARONNO was born, from a simple gesture of courtesy and a drink made by hand with secret ingredients.
