Grimbergen Beer arose from a monastery founded by Saint Norbert in 1128 in the city from which Grimbergen itself takes its name, which is located about 20 km from Brussels, in Belgium.
< p>Initially, this beer was produced and reserved by the monks of Grimbergen Abbey for the upper class of society.
It is made from Gâtinais barley and a selection of different hops, where its fruity flavor comes from.
