La marca data de 1814 cuando se fundó como la empresa Pinet Casillion. Raynal se fundó en Jarnac en 1840 y utilizó la marca 'Pellisson'. El brandy fue comercializado en el Reino Unido como "Three Barrels Brandy" desde 1947 y en otros lugares como Raynal. Pellisson adquirió Raynal en 1975 y William Grant & Sons compró Raynal & Cie en 2005. En 2008 se introdujo un aguardiente XO premium envejecido en roble durante 15 años. y 'Three Barrels Honey' se lanzó en el Reino Unido en julio de 2014.
