The charge of this tribute was the grandson of the founder, Jeff Versele that during his trips to the United States was charmed by the spirit of craft beers.

Thanks to these trips, I had the idea to mature a beer Belgian Strong Golden Ale a season, between 4 and 6 months in barrels of whiskey, to obtain an aromatic beer with soft and sweet flavors that gives off subtle notes of whiskey .

Brewmasters Gulden Draak is a very special beer for Brouwerij Van Steenberge. This beer was developed to celebrate the 230 years of the brewery and to give a tribute to the founder of the factory Josef Van Steenberge.
