Caol Ila 12 Years 70 cl is a typical Islay malt whiskey pale straw color with a pleasant and fresh scent with hints of peat, light notes of citrus, almond and olive oils and marine notes. This malt also has a strong aromatic smell of smoke reminiscent of a fire on a cold night.
It has a light, buttery and slightly sweet flavor with smoky notes. When water is added to the flavor manifests some salinity and acidity. Long finish.
It is a good appetizer and is perfect for smoked fish (except sturgeon) and other smoked.
