Lagavulin distillery is located on the southern coast of the island of Islay, founded in 1816 by John Johnston and Archibald Campbell. The distillery, which is now part of the Diageo group, is known for having a system of slow distillation in stills pear-shaped and offer a whiskey with a strong character aged in ex-bourbon.

Among his proposals is the Lagavulin 8 Years 200th Anniversary Edition, a single malt from Islay commemorating the 200th anniversary of the distillery itself and has been inspired by the visit of the famous historian of distillates, Alfred Barnand.

A Scotch whiskey aged in European and American oak has an aroma of black pepper and wood and smoked meat accompanied by a subtle touch of lemon zest and green apple, its taste is intense which highlights the characteristic taste of wood smoked with sweet notes of fruit and spicy pepper.
