Alexander Matheson was responsible for building the distillery in 1839, I spent 28 years Alexander decided to transfer the distillery Charles and Andrew Mackenzie, descendants of the head of the Mackenzie, Colin of Kintail clan, who recovered again the symbol of the clan the deer antlers with twelve points.
