In 1966, first created the famous Trappist beer Chimay White also called ""Chapa White"".

Chimay White is characterized by an intense gold with a thin layer of white foam, the second fermentation in bottle make flavors peel sweet and bitter which include hops and yeast, in mouth are perceived fruity notes muscat and raisins I followed by a light touch of bitter hops, an ingredient that has been used in large quantities when compared with other beers from Belgium.

Durante el verano de 1850, un pequeño grupo de monjes se instaló en la meseta salvaje de Scourmont, cerca de Chimay.
