The Chimay brewery located in the Scourmont Abbey beers began to develop in 1862, when the monks of the monastery produced its first beer-based natural production monastic traditions.
As a result of that first beer, we currently have on the market different types of them, such as the Blue Chimay, a beer of strong character that gives off a sweet fruit and flowers Rosaceae aroma, in the mouth known for its very well balanced sweet flavor.

Durante el verano de 1850, un pequeño grupo de monjes se instaló en la meseta salvaje de Scourmont, cerca de Chimay. Alrededor del monasterio, se construyeron una granja, una cervecería y una fábrica de queso.
