Description
Chimay Blue is a beer brewed in the Trappist monastery in Scourmont Abbey, located to the south of the province of Hainaut, Belgium.
This brewery produces several types of Trappist beers, all supervised by the monastic community who are responsible for the process of exploitation of beer, the benefit goes to the need for community and social work.
A beer that is characterized by a strong character which are perceived aromas of fresh yeast with light floral notes pink that give that particular point pleasant, the taste is quite dry leaving a refreshing feeling when consumed at a temperature of 10 to 12ºC.

Durante el verano de 1850, un pequeño grupo de monjes se instaló en la meseta salvaje de Scourmont, cerca de Chimay. Alrededor del monasterio, se construyeron una granja, una cervecería y una fábrica de queso. La abadía de Scourmont desarrolló varias actividades económicas, lo que permitió el aumento del empleo en la región.
