Description

Pago de los Capellanes Finca El Picón is an excellent red wine made from Tempranillo grapes grown on a small two-hectare plot with hundred-year-old vineyards. The harvest from this old vineyard is insignificant, so the wine is produced in a very limited quantity, which does not exceed 3,000 bottles.

The wine shows an aroma in which spicy nuances of cinnamon, tobacco , leather, truffle and black licorice join the balsamic tones and notes of blackberry and undergrowth.

It also has a complex flavor, enveloping, exquisitely rounded with an excellent balance of fresh acidity and well-integrated sweet tannins. The aftertaste is long, persistent.

The wine is most fully revealed in combination with grilled red meat, hot meat of large wild animals and stewed meat.
