Description
Chimay Trappist brewery is located at the Abbey of Scourmont founded in 1862. This monastery is one of the eleven breweries where Trappist beers are still produced.
Considered the classical range, Chimay Blue is made from water, barley malt, wheat starch, sugar, hops, yeast and bitter orange peel.
A dark beer characterized by a very dense and dark layer of foam and strong flavor. Nose perceived aromas of yeast and cereal with light floral and sweet notes, its flavor is somewhat intense while dry where hops has a starring role, giving the bitterness so persistent at both the beginning and at the end.
