During the 80s, the De Brabandere had a beer brewery that made catapult the company Petrus Oud Bruin known, now known as Rood Bruin.
A beer brewed in one of the largest independent breweries in Belgium, which currently remains a family business since 2013 controlled by the fifth generation of the De Brabandere family.
Rood Bruin Petrus is brewed from a mixture of 33% Petrus Aged Pale, which matures for two years in oak barrels, and 67% of young roasted malt beer. A mixture where the young beer gives the dark color and Aged Pale acid gives that light so characteristic of a typical Flemish beer flavor.
