The origins of the Monkey 47 gin date back to the years of the Second World War when a British commander named Montgomery Collins was assigned to the Black Forest and wanted to create his own gin. In 2008 Alexander Stein, master distiller, bought the house that belonged to Collins and she discovered the recipe of gin.
