Description
Yamazaki is one of the first Japanese distillery founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. This distillery, main reference of Japanese whiskey, presented his first whiskey in 1929, which a large part of its production is based on imported malt.
Yamazaki 12 Years is a single malt whiskey made with the same process that scotch, fermentation, distillation and maturation. Aging are used in three types of barrels of Spanish oak (Jerez), American white oak and Japanese oak for 12 years to provide the final blend a unique flavor and fruity.
The first Japanese whiskey is characterized by its creamy floral scent with notes of tropical fruit, its flavor is intense, silky and pleasant where other more subtle flavors of spices and fruits of the forest are also perceived.
