This brandy is based on a brandy from the distillation of white wines of excellent quality (holandas), which go through a long period of aging and aging in American oak casks. A process called ""criaderas and soleras"" which is often used much in the area to age sherry.

Fundada en 1877 por Sir Alexander Williams, gran conocedor y admirador de los productos jerezanos, y Arthur Humbert, especialista en relaciones internacionales.1
Desde entonces se conservan parte de los vinos y brandies de la casa en botas de roble de la más alta calidad (soleras). Estos forman la base del actual desarrollo y crianza de cada uno de los vinos y brandies de las Bodegas Williams & Humbert.
