The Smirnoff vodka originated in Moscow, when Pyotr Smirnov Arsenyevicth established his distillery where he began to make a type of vodka in a special softness thanks to a secret recipe.
His great fame and popularity was obtained in 1886 when he was named the official vodka of the Czars, but because of the Bolshevik revolution, Piotr had to leave Russia and take shelter in France, where he started again with their projects.
One of the most common brands from the 40 that are in any bar counter. Among different vodkas, is the Smirnoff Black, a tribute to the distillation process which is based on three distillations, features Smirnoff vodka, where a quarter is included in copper stills where it gets that marked softness.
