Descendants of J. Palacios is the winery in charge of the production of red wine from the D.O. Bierzo, Petalos del Bierzo. A monovarietal wine from MencÃa, a grape from plots of strains between 50 and 90 years old with low yield.
For its elaboration, the grapes are destemmed and fermented for 25 days in wooden vats. and open stainless steel tanks, then malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden vats and closed stainless steel tanks for two months. To finish, it is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
A great wine of high aromatic intensity where the presence of black fruit in liquor, smoky notes and very powerful roasted notes stands out. In the mouth it has a very elegant and sweet entry.
