Laphroaig is a distillery founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston, belonged for 139 years the same family. It has developed some of the best single malt Scottish besides having had authentic teachers distillers who have given the company its personality.
Its production is whiskey Laphroaig Quarter Cask, the special whiskey distillery which is made from a distillation traditional copper stills, ripening is performed in the barrels usual bourbon, a completed once transferred to small barrels ""quarter cask"" where grow old.
This manufacturing process is traditional distillery, only allowed to use, thanks to the use of these barrels of smaller size whiskey softer texture full of sweetness that has a finish with hints you get fruity medium length.
